LIGHTNESS WITH AN OPEN VIEW

INTRODUCTION –

This is the second time Interior Designer Kelvin Teo has worked with Ms Er Cheep for her home renovation.

This house is a ground floor one bedroom condominum unit with a 4.5M ht double volume space. This existing apartment used to be dark and gloomy due to its lack of windows with a low false ceiling. Kelvin decided to completely overhaul and modify the existing layout to suit Ms Er’s lifestyle.

THE CONCEPT –

After serveral discussions with Ms Er. Kelvin proposed an all white as the main colour palette that will reflect lightness and transparency within the perimeter of space. The approach of designing less to show more also helps with the space expansion.

One importance focal point of the house is the new mezzanine space, the loft is constructed to gain an extra room and also to uses it as part of the core design – A landing with a stylish staircase.
